I've recently updated a new chip the BMII-SFW2 to my Beresford Bushmaster Mk11 dac. The upgrade was easy with clear written instructions from Stan. My impressions are that the chip provides more transparency on favourite songs and albums. An example is Julia Holter's Be in my Wilderness, in particular the song Silhouette. In the song's coda a string quartet plays a highly complex and striking section with layered voices and colours. Previously, the sound was a little muddied and sharp sounding. The new chip has enabled the complexity of the passage to be revealed with better separation and warmth. I recommend upgrading the new chip if you own the Bushmaster Mk 11. My system is the Bushmaster Mk 11 dac with battery pack, Burson Audio HA-160, the Rega Apollo-R CD player, and Beyerdynamic T1 headphones.
