I recently got the Timestep power supply and an SME 309 from Sound HiFi. I'm having trouble figuring out how to mount the tonearm. Basically, the DIN connector on the 309 sits right at the level of the base of the 1200 without any real room to hook a cable or for the tonearm base to sit square in the armboard.

Anyone else encounter something similar?

Can't you use deeper 45 degree one like the VDH (TAC) or would that give the same problems?

The one supplied with the 309 will fit perfectly straight out of the box, no need to buy anything else!
