Purpose is amusement (there is no such thing as a Flux Capacitor, even though they keep wanting to fire it up on Planet Rock), that's why it's in abstract chat.

Lol... Would it be worth wasting a couple of hours of my life to watch it? I have to admit, most of that shiny 80s American fantasy/adventure stuff leaves me rather non-plussed. That film didn't really do it for me, back in the day, and I suspect the situation won't have changed much now! ;)

A guy i worked with liked to take the piss out of folk who thought they knew what was wrong with the juke box in pub.... He,d say when asked its the flux capacitor.... The know all would then always reply, i said thats what it was:D
