Which couriers do you members use? For shipping heavy packages, that weigh between 18-30kg.

I use UPS and I've never had any problems .

Cut handles in the outer box (pretty much needs to be double boxed for that weight) so they're not trying to grab it from the base.

Assume all packages will be dropped or thrown and pack to survive such a scenario is my advice, no matter what the weight of the parcel. More difficult to achieve of course with heavy objects!
Marking it fragile is just a challenge so bear that in mind ;)

I use Parcel2go for this sort of thing, and UPS would be my first choice of carrier, with TNT second. Never be tempted by the lure of Parcel Farce, unless you actually want the item lost, damaged or delivered three weeks late!

I am still trying to get over the shock of an order where an item I posted to Croatia was sent by PF to Canada. Luckily the Canadians could read English, and kindly forwarded the parcel to the correct destination instead of returning it to me. I think the person whose order it was in also a member here on AoS.

And pay 3 time as much for the priviledge - feel sorry for people who insist on taking things to the post office for shipping.
