Hi all.

Just recently I upgraded to a lovely SPU GT and I have to say, it's bloody lovely!

With is I also had Johnny of Audio Origami make me an additional counterweight and it's bob on.

I just love the sound of the SPU and it tracks beautifully. - I'm in love... and it looks smashing!

Very impressed. Big shout to Peter (Pet Rat) and Barry. Nuff said, innit!

Here are a couple of shots.

Cart is lovely but WHAT'S that funny looking round thing on the platter mat

Looks like you overdone the LP cleaning and it shrunk ;)

Looking great, Jo... Enjoy, and welcome to the SPU club!

That built-in Jorgen Schou SUT really is rather special ;)

Marco.

Thanks guys. Yep it's sounding sweet. A great combination. I guess the next thing is to move to a 12" 3012 but as it stands I'm really enjoying it. :)

The SME arm was originally designed with the Ortofon SPU in mind. It's a moot point if the 12" arm will be better, but for what it's worth, that is what I would use.

Glad it's all working well Josie.

thanks, i was more interested to know about good place which can bring life into a worn one. though there is one for sale near me, recently serviced at a small workshop in budapest. i will try to hear it when i come back from japan though i dont have high hopes against my current SPU spirit / tango 999 combo....
