Hi all.

As a really big fan of the original here is the official trailer of Ghostbusters 3.

I went to see Ghostbusters 14 times... Yup, I liked it... a lot. GB2 was dire, and so here is GB3. I like the idea of an all female cast but... what do you think?

'Everything was fine until dickless here shut off the power'

'Is this true?'

'Yes, it's true. This man has no dick.'

They don't do comedy dialogue like that any more....

I don't have a problem with a new film, but please not a rewrite the past reboot. For me this film needs a continuity with the first few for it to appeal to me. Personally I am sick of brainless add nothing rehashes of original films.

Sadly to me it looks a little brainless.... but hey... it's only the first trailer.

Hope it's good... I really do. To what comes through to me so far is that it's a partial remake of GB1 with a touch of GB2.

Thing is the original GB was only any good because of Bill Murray.

You take away the class and all you have left is a load of juvenile shite.

Same with Caddyshack - take out Murray and Dangerfield and there's nothing left.

That's what they don't get with these re-makes. Same with the Dad's Army film: you can't make up for the lack of those old professional actors who could deliver any line or expression for maximum effect. They could turn mediocre crap into gold. There's hardly anyone with that experience and ability now.

Oh I don't know... it was a great storyline, very original.

Here is the international trailer, some extra footage. I'm afraid that it really does look like a mix of GB1 & GB2 though, nothing new... just a reboot with a touch of a parody feel.

Shame... :( But I guess it's easy money. It will do well I suppose but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting. I guess Dan Ackroyd is too busy selling his Skull Vodka.

Akroyd has yet to apologise for the Bilko film. And Blues Brothers 2000.

You are right that the original Ghostbusters was - ahem - original. I've tried to think of what they ripped off but nothing comes to mind. It was quite low budget too.

lol.. indeed.

Yes, it was original in it's story and groundbreaking with it's effects even though some were awfully simple.
