With a heavy heart, it is time for me to sell my Rega Planar 3. I have modified it to allow more speed stability and lower background noise.
The modifications include:-
24v motor assembly. This kit is a low noise, low vibration upgrade for the original 110v motor. It does away with the captive power flex and is supplied with a wallwart PSU.

Tangospinner Astor sub-platter. The original sub-platter was made to budget standards, and its sometimes 'out of round' properties only exacerbated the wow and flutter issues inherent with Rega decks. I have found speed is firmed up, and as an added bonus the background noise was greatly reduced.

Acrylic platter. Not only does this increase the visual appeal, but I found that low frequencies were tighter with the platter.
Edwards Little Blue Belter. An upgrade to the Rega black belt which I found slowed the speed a little. I will also supply a Rega white belt to the buyer.

Rega TTPSU. This gives two main benefits; an uprated PSU which will reduce noise and steady speed even further, and you can change speed on the unit, as opposed to removing the platter and moving the belt on the pulley.

This deck comes in very good condition, with lid which has a multitude of very fine marks interspersed with a couple of bigger ones. There are no cracks on the lid at all. The setup will come without arm; the RB300 has moved across to the NAS Interspace Jr deck that has replaced the Rega. I'll supply an Origin Live VTA adjuster for easy adjustment or arm height also.

As I do not have boxes, this would be collect only unless the buyer expressly wants postage, in which case the parcel would have to be adequately insured and at posted at the buyers risk. Located near Marlow.
I am looking for £300 for all the above, but the price would be negotiable if the buyer wanted to remove certain options; eg. TTPSU or acrylic platter. Please bear in mind how much it would cost to collect all the components on this deck.
