Hi All

I've been asked to find a decent turntable for a friend who wants to resurrect his record collection.

Looking for a 'fit and forget' TT, so something easy to set up and maintain. It's likely to be the last one he'll buy, so needs to be in excellent condition.

Just missed out on a 5 month old RP3 On here - something like that would be perfect.

Cheers

Rich

Manticore Mantra for sale on wigwam. You may need a cart too.

For 'non we' vinyl lovers, a Rega or Pro-ject is probably best as there's little or nothing to go wrong or need constant setting up. The Mantra is a lovely old deck with great sonic performance and was very well designed, but will these people mind the soft suspension?

Music lovers who aren't into the gear to reproduce it. 'We' are among those who like the reproduction 'gear' and post about it on forums like this one

Probably just as well. Spares would likely be an issue. I'd stick with the Rega option at that price. It'll be fine.
