Henry Gray was raised outside of Batton Rouge, Louisiana but made his mark on blues music history from 1946 through 1969 when he was one of Chicago's most respected old-school blues pianists. A longtime member of Howlin' Wolf's band, Gray also recorded or performed with Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, Elmore James and many other legends.

How Could You Do It was recorded in the late 1990s, and shows that even at his advanced age Gray has lost none of his spunk.
