Wanting pre and amp to match furniture and at the same time dealing with WAF, can be an uphill battle, best to let her choose it.:)
Marantz, Pioneer and Rotel, are amongst many manufacturers that offered wooden side panels. Quads FM3 and 33 sleeve is nice
I have one upstairs.

A serious piece of kit when B&O were on top form ( I will have the matching Rosewood Beovox 120.2 speakers here early next week -- claimed to be the best balanced passives B&O made )
Here's some gumph ... I've just had the amp fully serviced, and it is in very good condition but there is minor damage to the left hand side 'upright' where it meets the top -- it has had a clean break and not been repaired as well as it could have been but it would be an easy fix for anyone even slightly competent with glue ! which probably rules me out -- but as said it is simply along the join .... these amps sound very nice and are a real change from the normal B&O imho -- it's still a Jensen design, just understated and classic --- weighs a bloody ton but when you see inside you can see why.

from Beoworld :
The Beomaster 4000 was positioned in the range above the Beomaster 3000-2. It offered, in addition to the 3000-2’s many facilities, built-in ambiophonic stereo switching, connections for a second tape recorder and most importantly, more power. Rated at 60W, the Beomaster 4000 was as powerful as the previous Beolab 5000 system it replaced. Advances in electronics and manufacturing technique had allowed the Beolab 5000’s capabilities to be included in a smaller, simpler, more elegant package, and so once again an amplifier with what was at the time a massive power output featured in the B&O range.

a review from Gramophone:
How it performed
Taking the amplifier section of the Beomaster 4000 first, the accompanying graphs and waveform photographs illustrate the excellent performance. The power output specified is modest compared with the measured capability of the output stages. Again the frequency response, measured by applying a signal to the tape recorder 1 input, is much better than the claimed range.

Just a couple of photos -- lots more available if needed ...... and ofcourse will be a LOT cheaper --- but it is quality hifi

If you can find one the Rotel Michi pre power combo might suit

mmm... Yum Yum

Alternatively you could get a local chippy character to add rosewood cheeks or even a sleeve to an amp or amps that don't have them.

Yes That is nice, Don't know what the chances of finding a set of those is, but I assume its rarer than the Pioneers.
Thanks
