Don't want to be depressing, but looking to the wide range of experience on this forum :)..Over the past 4 yrs I have been having regular MRI scans to monitor a small benign tumour on my saliva gland I have already had one removed!! So yesterday, as usual I went to see my consultant for the results of my latest scan!! Not good, he sits me down and said "there's good news and bad"!!!!!! Welll the good news is the known tumour has not grown so he won't be doing a second operation on me anytime soon!!!! The bad news is that the scan has found a rather large annomalie on my right frontal lobe!! Not my field he says but I'm worried so I'll have to refer you to a neurologist as I can't tell what it is but its not good!!!
Well you could have knocked me over with a feather!!! :ek: No my consultant has assured me that prolonged exsposure to vinyl and extended listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole has in no way contributed to this new brain tumour!!!!!! :) :) So it seems that I'm in for some protracted investigations

Good luck. I hope it turns out to be less worrisome than your DR fears.
Jeez, Graham. I'm really sorry to hear that, and sincerely hope all turns out well. You're certainly handling the news well, and no doubt having a positive attitude helps!
It's always best not to worry about something until you know you have something to worry about. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend.
Marco.
Yes very sorry to hear that news Graham especially as I have only just been in touch with regarding your extremely generous offer regarding the headshell.
My partner had a very significant tumour a few years ago so I know how you must be feeling. She had a very good outcome and I sincerely wish you all the best and hope all is resolved successfully.

+1 to all said Graham. Its not always as bad as you fear so keep looking positive mate:)

Don't think much of his 'bedside manner' he should have left it at "I'll have to refer you to a neurologist as I can't tell what it is". It's not his field, so rather than worry in advance, wait until you have seen the neurologist for an accurate assessment of the situation. I hope it turns out to be a false alarm.
All the best Graham , I love the fact your still up beat , positive thinking is the best way.
