Hi all,

May well open the flood gates to answers here but am looking for a good interconnect to go between a Naim Unitiqute 2 and Nap 100?

Have tried a few cables in my box of wires the best so far being a Chord Cobra 2 but to be honest it sounds worse than just the Unitiqute on it's own.
There's a distinct drop in clarity, especially in vocals, and sound stage. with the Chord. I am putting this down to the interconnects.

Someone mentioned to me having a go with the Chord Indigo's however with a £1k price tag that's a bit OTT. Another friend said take a look at AQ cables as he used to be a Chord fan then switched to AQ and never looked back.

Any thoughts?

Naim use standard wires inside their amps, as most makers do, so please don't be tempted by foo wires on this stuff. Online suppliers areyour best bet as Naim dealers make a fortune out of shop-bought interconnects (been there and done it from both sides)

Look at Flashback Sales and I believe there are others. Surely £50 tops is all you need to spend online for such a cable? The resolution isn't there for anything supposedly 'better' imo.

Hi Marco,
None of Naim kit pre-dates 2000. All new circa 2013...

Hi Dave,

Well I did used to think that with some older kit that I had however i have a box of interconnects ranging from a few quid to about £100 and I can hear a difference on the Niam kit. Didn't use to hear much on a lot of vintage Japanese kit I used to have or even some Musical Fidelity kit. I am not going to go out and buy a new cable but am looking for some good second hand options. £50-100 seems reasonable to me I think its just a case of 'matching' the right cable.

Lol... That wasn't the point, Nick. The Artist's Palette is the place for discussing cables, not Blank Canvas, where you originally posted this thread ;)

Anyway, you'll know now for next time :)

Interesting. The Flashback cables look very reasonable, might take a look them.
Thanks for the recommendation.
