This is more of an Interest check. I no longer use the amp since I use headphones 90% of the time. My late Friend Dave H on here sold his F3 for £600 so looking for the same really. Not desperate to sell, just I don't use it since I have no proper Hi-Fi speakers any more and I can always build another or something else if needed.

Nelson Pass Labs F5 Class A Power Amp

Custom build of the Nelson Pass Labs F5 Class A power amplifier (25W per channel). This was built and finished for myself but I sold my speakers shortly afterwards due to space issues and I now use headphones. It has been sat on a shelf covered up since. Although it is only 25W it is pure class A and I drove a pair of martin Logan speakers without problems which are a difficult load. The more efficient the speakers the better it sounds of course.

It has been built using official amplifier PCB's bought as a group buy and built around premium components.

It uses dual 300VA transformers (Total 600W supply power) with large high grade screw top aerovox caps.

Just a few details :-

Audio Note Silver Input Wire

Silver WBT Input RCA Sockets

Silver Output Internal Speaker Wire

Gold Speaker Terminals

Chord OFC used for internal supply wiring

Dual Mono PSU (600VA Total) Multicomp TX

Aerovox 47,000uF x 4 Caps (188,000uF Total)

Anti Surge Power On

THIS IS HEAVY SO PICKUP ONLY

Very very nice, I have today put into use my room heater, Radford STA25 MK 3. Feel that it's cold enough today that I won't be wasting the heat generated by it.

I had the same philosophy with my 300B's and 845 tube amps. Rarely used them in Summer. The F5 is pretty good heat wise.

I guess that the F5 produces about half the heat of my old Radford.

I did have an original Sugden A21 class A amp, and that would have been only about half the heat of the F5.

M29 area. Tyldesley outside Manchester.

I re-biased it and checked the outputs yesterday. Kind of having 2nd thoughts on selling so not too bothered about the lack of interest tbh. I'll still sell atm I guess.
