Hi all. Hoping to add something to the forum, as well as to learn, improve most of all enjoy the art of sound reproduction. I'm a valve man at heart, although I sold a bucket load to fund the flooring of my new home some 10 years ago...Back in the market to buy and try. At the moment, my everyday kit consists of Tangent RS4's, Omniphonics 150 amp, Little Bear Pre-amp and Lenco GL75, Cambridge Audio phono and Rega Planet for CD...I'm building up the better stuff...need a better amp though...I love the old kit like Leak Stereo 20, Spendor BC3's and Decent 401...... and the Music is 80's and 90's...
I'm going straight to the Classifieds....
All the best

Hello Don. Welcome to AOS.
Anything specific in mind for the assembly of your proposed new system? Vintage gear is very popular here.
If you want to discuss intended items, just visit the appropriate section and start a thread. I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers.
Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hello Don, not many mentions of the Tangent RS4's on the forum, I also have a pair, in fact had two pairs, strangely one pair had the small magnet Audax bass unit in, and the other pair have the large magnet Audax bass unit in them. I also have RS2's, also nice speakers, very good bass for a smaller cabinet.
Welcome to AoS Don.
Gosh, mention of Tangent speakers takes me back to the mid '70 when I went with a fellow postgraduate to audition a pair (I can't remeber the model, but they were quite large), which he subsequently bought. :)
If you're interested in vintage/classic gear there are many here who collect and use it, who will only be too happy to advise you.
Enjoy the Forum

Hi Alex...yes, I went through a phase of buying every Tangent going, I could have started a Museum...great for T27 spares, but I don't cannibalize...Every speaker has a right to be repaired!
Have TM1/2 RS2 x 2 RS4 x2...Missed out on RS6 and RS8's are rare as hens teeth...But one day I will rip off the front panels and see what audax's I have...Are we saying Bigger is better?
Anyway..they are a poor mans BC1..well RS4 do give BC1 a run for the money...my 2 euro's worth.
All the best

Sounds promising to me Don.
There are quite a few Croft and full range speaker fans here. I'm quite fond of full range speakers myself and have a selection of drivers.
I'd suggest starting a thread in the Blank Canvas section and outlining what you have in mind. We have some clever folk here, so some good ideas and suggestions should be forthcoming.

G'day Don, I notice another new member @SETfan also has a GL75.
Would love to see some pics of yours. I have an L75 in bits that I'm hoping to do up one day.

Hope you enjoy the forum.

Hi Don I think you're the same Don who sold me a couple of pairs of speakers and bought my passives? Must be given the interest in BC3s and Croft amps.
