no too much bass crazy nodes at 50hz,100hz and so on.

the passive radiator rolls off very steeply which seems to suit my room.

Some SRM 10B cones for a start and a quality recap & rewire. SRM 10B crossovers would be good too.

Nicky P on eBay who sells Tannoy bits would be a good guy to contact. I believe he works for Lockwood. They may have SRM 10B cones going spare. I bought a set from him.
