:) My Tannoy HBD's are back home safely ( Phew )

Just unpacked them and all I can say is

WOW

They look like new , Rebuilt by Lockwood audio , Re coned re foamed re everythinged :)

No time for photos or a listen as I have 2 go 2 work now :(
and they need putting back in the cabinets
I hope they sound as good as they look :eyebrows:

Back home? I didn't even know that you had Tannoys, never mind that were away anywhere! It's always amazing how folks presume that everyone else automatically knows what's happening in their little world... :eyebrows: ;)

So, daftee, which Tannoys are we talking about exactly (the answer to that will determine whether the thread stays here, or is moved to Past Masters)? And yes, when you get a chance, please post some pics of the aforementioned work having been carried out, and let us know what you think of how they sound :cool:

Make sure you get them off the ground, the standard cabs are too low.

I humped the cases downstairs today :eek: and will re fit the drivers soon then I will have something 2 photograph Head Daftee :) Sir

Just about 2 refit these so will report back later :)

I may at a later date send the crossover 2 Paul at RFC for a rebuild when I have some spare dosh ;)

Apart from the IIILZ which had a slight bite at the top. I've always used Tannoys with controls set level. My Cheviots are the late 3128 model. But I did the same with my HPD and MG 12" speakers.

If the balance isn't right with level controls I look elsewhere. An amp change or cable change is sometimes needed.

Get them off the ground at least 6 inches, they'll sound miles better. Good choice though ;) Love my chevvies
