View Full Version : Harman-Kardon Citation 11 very rare vintage high end made in USA pre-amp. Faulty.

It's like the bottom one in the picture (this is not the one for sale! It's to comply with the must have photo rule).
These are from the early seventies and cost a fortune when new.... They were once the "Stereophile" top rated pre amp at any price! The Audio research SP3 took over as their fave rave....

The issue with it is one of the multi-wafer selector switches has a broken wafer. It will not require much electronics knowledge to repair but will not be easy.... Why? It's unlikely that an original one can be found so something will have to be adapted and made to fit... very time consuming to source a suitable part, hence I haven't fixed it myself. AFAIK that's all that's wrong with it.
