Could somebody tell me what series this SME 3009 is?

The guy selling it hasn't even included a photo of the headshell, so I don't even know if it's detachable or not. :doh:

Yes, as Grant says. series 2.

This is the slightly earlier "Non improved " version. It wasnt originally called that. just what folks seem to call it to distinguish it from the later "improved " version.

Yes, it is possible to have a 2nd rider weight. But unless you have a heavy cartridge (SPU for example) , this one rider weight will probably suffice for a conventional weight cartridge.

Yes it's a Series 2 and will have a detachable headshell. The fixed headshell option only came with the Series 2 (Improved) design, which had a redesigned counterweight and VTF arrangement.

Apropos the rider weight, it's upside down as the hole should be underneath.

Yup, same as mine, SII none improved. It's a smashing arm. I had mine rewired/serviced by Audio Origami too, top stuff.
