Hmmm... HiFi it's a funny old game. i have recently bought an old Akai AA 5200 amp, it WA cheap whilst my Audio Analogue Puccini was being repaired. I have to say the Akai sounds great! It is a softer warmer sound than other amps, the Puccini excepted. Which leads to a thought that I really like that musical sound rather than anything too bright/forward. The next thought is whether I should change the MA RX1's. I have liked these speakers a lot since purchasing, but maybe I should go for some speakers which are warmer? Or maybe this is a good system match, and warmer speakers would be too much. Thoughts welcomed together with recommendations for sub £500 alternatives.
