This unit was originally used by Funk Firm as an R&D reference, and it has been slightly modified to accommodate two additional mounting points. This is shown clearly in the photos below.

Apart from that, it's in good condition. It still mounts perfectly and firmly in the 1200 chassis, and works and performs exactly as it should.

New cost is approx £450-500 after shipping/VAT. Selling this unit at just £150 inc. RMSD.

Total no brainer at that price if you're on the Techie modding / upgrade path :)

we'll see if it's a bargain once it is safely installed - I seem to own 4 thumbs on one hand and bugger all on the other with DIY lol

Mike.

I used to own this bearing (http://theaudiostandard.net/post/43424/thread) and that's an absolute bargain, I'd have bought it back myself and picked up a cheap Techie at that price, when did they get so cheap?? If your not happy with it I'll buy it off you, but it's such a fundamental upgrade I don't think you'll want to sell it. Don't worry about installation, it's very straight forward.

I listed it cheap because it's modified, not that I think it has any bearing (geddit!) on the performance. If it were stock/perfect, I'd have listed it at £250-300.

Maybe too cheap, but never mind! Hopefully it will do a great job for Mike.

Hi,

Arrived safely this morning and managed to fit it in under 15 minutes and well booger me it's working perfectly.

Many thanks for the rapid delivery, sounding much much better than stock one.

Mike.
