Someone has donated this arm for my Cancer Research Scalford Sale

It's a Rega, I'm sure -- but what of that counterweight?

Pretty sure thats an Origin Live stub/counterweight modification
You can check to see if there is a screw accessible from the rear. The screw expands some rubber thingy to attach the stub to the cast part.

/Mike

PS Seems it mght have been rewired too, perhaps by OL?

Thanks Mike - The donator doesn't know, he got the arm with the deck and didn't inquire or has forgotten.

Assuming an O/L mod, which seems likely, what's the £££ I should be asking ?

It's deffo a Rega RB300 and the c/weight bodge looks like an Origin Live.

With a Roksan Radius 5 in decent nick - how much? I'm asking £600 at the moment. http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?42822-FS-Roksan-Radius-5-turntable-amp-Rega-RB300-arm-with-OL-mods

Should be worth that and you can always take a sensible offer.

I think that counterweight is cast brass ? It's DIY imo

Yes, I suspect you are right.
I've just been looking at the OL website and their current c/wts are shiny and much nicer looking!

My Origin Live RB250 looked the same as this Jerry - I think it's an earlier one. Not a bad arm, just a bad match for the LP12 I had at the time!

If it is an OL arm, the mods (depending on level) were about £300 all in IIRC (with no arm), so maybe worth £200-250 SH?

Should be a good match for the Radius. It's a good deal for someone.

Ah OK - I did wonder if it was an early OL version.

Thanks for that!
