Anyone using a good turntable spotlight/ lamp hot enough to warm up a cartridge.
Don't think LED type are hot enough.

Why would you want to heat up the cart? Surely warming up a mechanical device would require the cantilever actually moves?
A 60W anglepoise should do it?

Cartridge operating temp ideal about 21oC. My lounge is about 15oC. :(

Yeah I think this will have to be my best option and will give me some decent light to cue up.:)

An old trick to get a cart near full performance quicker than just sitting at room temp. This time of year particularly in cooler rooms. In the winter months in cooler rooms this will also affect speakers too. The rubber in the mechanism is stiffer in the cold.

It starts off at 15oC and takes an age to warm up -old house:rolleyes:
