Seldom available Impulse Ta'us and in very good condition. I think these were only ever available in cherry and remarkably that's the finish of this pair.
I am the 2nd owner of this pair (been used with a Perreaux Eloquence 150 and a Luxman L550aii), originally owned from new by an elderly gent where they were driven with Musical Fidelity amps.
These are fantastic sounding speakers. The Ta'us replaced a pair of Impulse H2's which I sold to Bandit Pilot (Rick) and those H2's were one of the stars of last years WigWam show with many people raving about them. Sound wise the Ta'us are in a different league to those particular H2's. I have replaced the TC90K tweeters with TC120TD5's and the crossovers have been completely rebuilt and are now external. The crossovers have been build into custom made boxes and have used all sorts of fancy boutique parts (Mundorf Clarity and Jantzen Superior Z Caps, Mills resistors, and Jantzen air core inductors). All the inductor values were matched to the originals for inductance and DCR. The only change made to the crossover was a resistance chance to accommodate the higher sensitivity of the TC120TD5. The binding posts on the speakers and crossovers are colour coded to try and make them idiot proof.
All of the drivers are in full working condition, no rot on ANY of the surrounds.
The speakers are in Kilmarnock and there isn't a hope in hell that I'd ship these so it's collection only or I'm willing to meet up. You are more than welcome to come and have a listen to them. You will need a large estate car for these as they are big and heavy.
I also have a complete set of spare drivers available which the buyer of the Ta'us will have 1st dibs on - 2 x used SEAS 21FWBX bass drivers, 2 x brand new never used SEAS 11F-M mids and 2 x used TC90K tweeters.
I tried to take pictures of the mid drivers but failed miserably, I can assure everyone the mids are in perfect working condition.
I'm looking for £1500 for the Ta'us and if the spare drivers are also wanted I'm sure we can agree a price for them.
