Up for sale are a pair of superb Audio Innovations series 1000 mk3 monoblocks. These are reputedly the best version of the 1000 monoblocks and have the most sorted version of that circuit. They run in class A push pull configuration and can produce 50 watts a channel. They will drive the vast majortiy of loudspeakers out there.
These amps have the very best bass I've ever heard from tube amps. It's solid, deep/extended, and very punchy. It’s way more punchy than the AI series 500 (for example) and these amps have a more neutral tone to the sound too. These are not one of those overly warm/relaxed souding type of valve amps. They are more neutral, more upfront and very dynamic and grippy. Certain to get the toes tapping and pulses racing. They have 8 and 4 ohm taps on the back.
Amps are in great condition and sound superb. I have the original boxes too. The clear Perspex plates are in great condition and come with all the pins too.
Asking £900. No offers at this price please as this is a very nice deal indeed for these particular amps, boxed, in this great condition. These powerful amps are not very common and don't turn up very often (I waited over a year to find a pair). Most valve monoblocks with four EL34s a side are class AB, not class A like these are (better sound of course..).
Can post at cost but would strongly prefer pickup (I'm located near Marylebone, London).
