Thanks,
I went in for a look and saw a lot of the folks from here, including it's 3 founders.
Good luck to them, Splitters!

It's a funny old thing this forum stuff. I like many used to buzz around various fora pollinating them with my wisdom until I unfortunately became stung by a couple of them. So many people subscribe to a forum for all the wrong reasons. Unfortunately it's a case of "if your face don't fit " with some forums their regular clutch of angry with life, they know better than everyone else territorial dingo's will turn on you. Especially if you go against the values that tend to differ wildly from those they purport to hold. Sometimes it takes a while to find the one you are most comfortable with or fit into. So many forum followers fall victim to the trade aspect of things or simply become embroiled in the politics of the forums. However, if you take a step back and remember what it is you joined for it is possible to maintain the enjoyment. I miss Andre's posts too as he was a fellow Prog head like myself.
I have had a shuffty at the afore mentioned "The Audio Standard" and think that it is very swish and has a lot of familiar names on it, some i care to avoid so I am sticking with AOS until they boot me off or I simply can't contribute anymore. As far as I know Andre still has his account here and welcome to comment at any time. To quote the uber talented John Cooper Clarke, "people turn to poison quicker than lager turns to piss". There is a lot of vitriol out there in forum land and it is best to avoid getting dragged in. So my advice is stay where you are most comfortable. I'm staying here! It is the best quality abuse on the net. Rant over.

Lol - great post, Steve, and so true! :exactly:

As for this:

As far as I know Andre still has his account here and welcome to comment at any time.

I can confirm that is indeed the case. However, given the level of his 'shenanigans' elsewhere recently, I'd need to have a chat with him, and address a few matters first, before he'd be allowed to use his account again. We don't hold grudges here, and (within reason) broken fences are always up for being mended, but neither are we anyone's 'bitch'! ;)

Ha - wise words!

Btw, if you like John Cooper Clarke (count me in), and if you haven't done so already, you should check out this new release:

I've got it on vinyl. Highly recommended!

It's great, Steve. On this album, music is quite cleverly combined with his poetry, to a rather interesting and entertaining effect. Consequently, the album sounds more like something that Ian Dury might've released. In parts, it has that type of sound.

Must have? By jove, I think so!

Mmmm, Plenty of paranoia induced by my little rant over on the forum who's name we must not speak. Odd that there is no mention of NVA equipment (of which i have nothing but good words for BTW, yet it appears i have denigrated it in some way? Added to the list of things i am is Gonk which i have to say suits me down to the ground. I found this amusing indeed (despite not having a sense of humour) as did being referred to as a drama queen. Hands up to to this one. But there again, there's a little of the drama queen in many of us don't yer think? Oh yes and odd. I am now one of the odd people on the forums. Strangely enough i can cope with all these things and take them on the chin. However, one shouldn't mistake a tantrum for someone who is so pissed off with personal indiscretion between a customer and a trader, neither should third parties be allowed to pass comment on an open forum in the manner it was. It is no secret that i am banned from Wig Wam which had a lot to do with trolling but hey if the cap fits? It's a shame how some things work out.
