Long cartridge bolts

Anyone got a couple of long headshell bolts. The bolts I have used on the M55e are at the limit and were the longest I could get.

I bought a set of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Cartridge-Mounting-Set-Screws-Bolts-Nuts-For-Any-Tonearm-or-Headshell-/331128827834?hash=item4d18d0efba:g:QPYAAOxy3HJTIKr z before and it has just about every length. Unfortunately I have no idea where I put the ones that I didn't need otherwise you could have had them.

If you only want longer bolts, just search eBay, as you can get 5 off M2.5 X 20 stainless bolts for £1.20 delivered.

Needing similar cart fixings recently I went to a local/bespoke Fastener supply house.
Got some quite nice SS domed socket head 2mm screws and their appropriate hex nuts in; 10, 15 and 20 mm lengths.
A small handful/lifetime supply. The Fellow just handed them over gratis when I told him what they were for.

I prefer nylon bolts and use them when possible. They tighten enough to hold a delicate cartridge in place firmly enough. If you strip the thread, then you're probably approaching the kind of tightening that could damage cartridge lugs. Better a cheap bolt break than an expensive cartridge and I've seen a few that have broken lugs.

My bolts turned up today and am very pleased with the quality and variety - should see me through any cartridge I wish too use.

And at £6.99 I thought they were a bargain.
