Got to admit to being well in love with Ellie Harrison from countryfile. Top totty methinks. Talented too. Just saying.

Did you see the price of the beef , 28 month old and £1100 on the scales , now I know why beef cost so much :)

and it probably cost about that to rear and feed each beef animal! I know one or two farmers and one was forced to send a bull to slaughter recently after it tested positive as a reactor for TB (ie it didn't have full blown TB but the reactor test proved positive). He didn't get a penny as he had to pay for the vets bills, transport to slaughter, slaughter and other related fees. He lost over £2K on that one and wont see a penny back. Badgers...don't you just love the cute little fur balls...
