Haven't tried the cable Shane , but I can vouch for the seller . Very good to deal with and anything I've bought from him has been good quality :)
The speaker cables are probably worth a punt at that price .

I've got something looking very similar that I use for trying out gear. Sounds just fine. Certainly better than QED Silver Anniversary!

Hi Shane,

I buy quite a bit of stuff from the chap, all good and all transactions A-OK. Funnily enough I rewired the mother in laws system with this cable last week, she now has some old Kef Codas driven by an old Sony receiver and it sound unobtrusive, not the last word in detail, but then neither is the system :)

Is this the sort of copper cable that uses very fine strands, so that when you twist the bare wires between finger and thumb it feels quite soft despite being quite thick. I have used very similar cable to this made by Bandridge and Cambridge to good effect. I was told years ago that if a cable has a good copper content then you can't go far wrong.

I prefer 'Z' plugs. As used by Nordost on their speaker cables.

The slit tube construction is springy and gives a good contact area and snug fit without being too tight.

OK First off I agree with Grant this stuff is amazing, Silversound used it in their speaker cable and with the correct construction, it is, in my opinion, about the best non pure siver cable around. As for constuction, each cable should have 4 strands two + and two -, then twist them together in a star quad arrangement with 2 1/2 twists per metre. As per Geoff's post, I prefer the z plugs and got some good gold plated copper from the Compass Audio guy via FleaBay. Silversounds used to wrap the cable with PTFE tape, I use plastic braiding and heat shink.
