Wow. Not a cd fan but that's beautiful. Have plans to gut a DVD player I have with 24/96 dac inside and rehouse in a wood enclosure. This is real art work though. [emoji3]

Sadly not by the looks of the translations on facebook etc - just re-housed. He does some cheap consumer turntables rehoused in heavy materials too.

I think I like this one best, not too different from above but cleaner lines by hiding the circuits.

They are kind of along the Shigaclone lines (which is like a DIY take on a 47 labs CD player).

If you look at some top-end transports from the 90s (I'm thinking Barclay Digital - not related to the bank..) most of the expense is in an uneconomical case, like made of Corian. There's a lot of potential in these cases to actually put something good inside, a CDM-Pro etc.
