Might be worth punt at the starting price but only if you have access to an engineer with loads of experience with valve circuits. You could send it off to Jez or maybe Alan to fix it up.

The cases aren't much, Siemens caps likewise (I have loads of them), the sockets are cheap and the PSU caps are old. The transformers might be useful, but not worth the starting price (£90 inc postage!). And no valves!
So personally I wouldn't bother.

If it had an opening bid of, say, £10 it might be worth buying for experimentation purposes.
The valves are going to cost a few quid, too.

The parts quality is good and they're not from '70's.... I can see 1989 dates for a start. I'll also guess it's not had much use. It's a fairly ambitious looking thing with that separate psu and the regulated supplies in the main unit. The selector appears good quality.
The cheap sockets mean sweet f.a. when it comes to sound. Cases well again it means nowt for the sound. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Valve sockets seem an odd pair but again so long as they are serviceable that will mean nothing. The valves needed are common ECC83's so readily available fairly cheaply.
The main down side is that if it needs fettling then whoever it is sent to will have to spend a very considerable amount of time in reverse engineering it in order to end up with workable circuit diagrams... and time is money. I also doubt it was a kit. looks more like a scratch built home made unit to me. Veroboard for regulator etc.
It could be a bargain at the price as a similar commercial unit would be expensive (£1K ish), not withstanding that a commercial one would be erm... styled better!

Can't argue with that. If you're an experienced electrical engineer / amplifier designer familiar with valve amps, it might be worth a shot. If not -probably not so good for the reasons mentioned above, as somebody else would have to reverse engineer & test everything. And it may (or may not) end up being worth the effort depending on whether the basic circuit design and implementation are any good. Since that's an unknown, I'd probably pass.
