Hi, my name is Phil and I live in Leicester.

I have been using a Denon UD M30 CD Micro System with Monitor Audio Bronze B2 speakers for a few years but now want to get back into vinyl. I have spent the last six months buying the LP's of my youth. The first one I bought was Dark Side Of The Moon, it's funny how things go full circle, I remember buying this LP when I was about 14 in 1976, then a few years later bought the cassette and then the CD and now I'm back with the big, beautiful piece of vinyl again :). I now have about 25 LP's but nothing to spin them on so when I saw a mint Rega P3-24 with TT PSU in my local dealer, Cymbiosis, I took a drive down and bought it. It has the stock RB301 arm with the Rega Bias cartridge. So now I need a phono stage to connect to my Denon, I have a budget of about £250, what would you guys recommend? I hope to upgrade to an Arcam FMJ 19 or the FMJ 29 but it will take me a while to save up for that.

Thanks for allowing me to join this forum, I have been viewing for a while now and it looks to be populated by some very enthusiastic, knowledgable people.

Hi Phil. Welcome to the forum. sure folk will give you some feedback as to whats out there, but best you open a thread in analogue if you want so real feedback. this is the welcome area and not read by all the forum.
Hope you find a suitable stage...

Hello Phil. Welcome to AOS.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your re-entry into vinyl playing. As for a phono stage, the Musical Fidelity V90 LPS has had very positive reviews and praise from members here too. It's not expensive either.

Tell us what other music you listen to and about any further plans for your system.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Thanks Geoff,

With regards to what music I like, I have very eclectic musical tastes, just about everything from 70's Bowie, through Heavy Rock, Dire Straits, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Royal Blood, White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Nirvana and most classical as well.

I would like to gradually upgrade my system with an Arcam FMJ A29 amp and some Tannoy floorstanders.
