Cheapest /decent speaker cable

Need 12-15 meters of speaker cable for my son after fixing him up with a vinyl system.What is the cheapest ,best quality cable out there which is worth considering .In the meantime ,wishing good to everybody out there and theirs for the coming year . Mick

Try some NVA cable Mick. Ls1 from ebay. I really rate it in my system and it's entirely benign with most amps and combinations.

I just bought my second lot of Transparent Audio Musichord. It doesn't look much. It's about as impressive as strimmer cable, but sounds so good I wanted some longer ones. Definitely recommend it, but it's very hard to find. Works beautifully with my Class A stuff and Tannoys.

Cheers lads ,those suggestions given me food for thought,asked for cheap cos I know who will be paying after I supplied all the other gear.The Rogers valve amp I gave him has a Mullard gz34 in,have you seen the price of one of those buggers.

If your prepared to make it up this stuff is really good; needs to be made in double lengths and twisted.

I like this stuff too but I avoid twisting it as that increases capacitance. I just run the double lengths separate. It's still pretty neat.

You'll be OK as long as you stay away from QED Silver Anniversary cable! Nasty sounding stuff.

Van Damme blue (of various diameters) is bloody good and what sits in my valve system, I also like Black Rhodium twist which won hifi world speaker cable of the year a couple of years ago, well worth the £3.00 a meter.

I really like Audison there 12 and 10 awg. stuff it really inexpensive but blows the sox off most other cable costing much more.
