Andre wrote earlier on that he doesn't own any music recorded after 1973.

1973 itself saw some great albums;

'Raw Power' by Iggy & The Stooges, possibly the best album ever made
The New York Dolls' first album
'For Your Pleasure' by Roxy Music
'Tonight's The Night' by Neil Young (not released until 1975)
'Aladdin Sane' by David Bowie

to name but a few

Well nearly true, i might have 4 or 5 for 1975..

Was the mark of the end for prog rock. ELP brought out there last album before splitting after the 2 years long world tour...Pink Flyd gave us the terrible 'Dark Side Of The Moon, YES were working on the terrible 'Topographic Oceans' before split..Genesis brougth out the great 'Selling England By The Pound' but Gabriel had already itchy feet. etc etc..

(My vote for album of 1973 would go to The Who - Quadrophenia - sorry, one of my all time favourite albums, and I loved the film too.)

There's no need to apologise (though 'Who's Next' is much better).

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think that!
