He say he has switched it on but does not say if any speakers were connected ?

Being that old and German, is it compatible with British mains? And if it's been left on for a while with no load, that may not have done it any good.

EL156 are darkened so well used, EF86 are Valvo tubes, cool amp if it works but not at that price

Hi, would be 230v european voltage. Now that i think about it i actually had my tannoys connected to it but i dont know if the connections were right either for input or speakers. Think i need to rephrase my listing. In any case the amp is being sold as not working although it might actually work. Im also unable to test the big telefunken valves but the other valves are ok on my tester. Cheers."

Six signal valves well used if 'ok on my tester' ,. £120 with a following wind, a lump with one interesting transformer in likely scrap condition, and three valves untested and looking well used. You pays your money and you takes....
You could buy one decent EL156 for that money.

Looks like it was made as a PA amplifier with microphone inputs/mixing.
Also appears to be designed for 100V line distribution for the speakers.

I hope the chap hasn't fried his Tannoys by connecting them incorrectly.
Personally I would avoid it.

As Alan says it looks like a PA amp. Would have been used in factory/sports stadium/whatever for announcements /background music. Mono anyway.
