Stunningly good machines, used in the mastering at Apple and the BBC amongst others, Danish iirc. I used to have records mastered using one of these in the cutting room of TAM Studios, great machines, really quite tempted.

I just re read the info and it looks like its replay only / no recording :(

I have one of these. Got it in a a recent lot of many tape recorders.

This model does not record. It is made for tape edit.
There is also another issue. At least my Lyrec has no line level output. It only
has phones and mono monitor speaker plug.

So this must be modified to get stereo line level output.

Many are ex-BBC or broadcast. Seen such varied prices for these but from ebay experience I'd say this one is more than twice the price you'd get for a normal auction listing.

Beware of Buy-It-Now prices for reel-to-reels I say! So much hype surrounding analogue tape and machines that people ask daft prices, multiple times those achieved by auction.
