Don't see why they had to kill the alligator. Shouldn't they have given it a medal or something?

I like the way the burglar tells his bird where he is going to be robbing, then calls her from on site to say he is being legged by the cops. I'm guessing that despite him being a scumbag she stuck with him because he did not have a problem with communicating.
