View Full Version : First new vinyl presses in 30 years
These presses are new, not reconditioned. I wonder what the quality will be like?

Yes the vinyl revival seems to be still surging ahead much to the perplexity of critics who have said it was just a flash in the pan. Some artists waiting 6 months for pressing plant capacity.
My only gripe is some of the quality issues. I can't remember there being as many when I was buying vinyl back in the 70's but maybe I wasn't so choosy then and I had a less revealing system:)

I think there is push and pull - Buyers happy to get the medium they want, and sellers who can make a product that can't be stolen.

Think your right there Andrei. Much more secure medium for artists to make money from.
Nice one, Jim, another one in the eye for the digital fanboys, who say that the current vinyl resurgence is a 'flash in the pan'.... Bullshit! :nono:
However, having just installed a 5TB NAS drive, and combined it with my existing 3TB one, resulting in having access to about 25,000 albums, which I can stream via the RPI, not including my physical media music collection, of some 5000+ CDs and records, I'm not sure that I need any more music! :eyebrows:

The Beatles white album selling for $650,000 says it all... Vinyl is back for sure.
The problem is now for me, I hardly get time to listen to it... :(

Wow That's a big one oh err missus! The only problem you may have is finding stuff unless there is a good search facility in the software?
