Up for sale is my Audio Innovations Series 500 integrated amp with phono stage. Reluctant sale due to downsizing. This particular example is rather special. It's been upgraded throughout with better quality capacitors than the Ero polyester originals (it has been fitted with Claritycap and Konek popypropylenes -see pictures (Yellow caps)), has had the balance and monitor pots removed and bypassed (for purer sound) and the stock volume pot has been replaced with an original Alps blue velvet. The result is the best series 500 I've ever heard (I'd had 3 of them in the past).
This is more desireable earlier version of the Series 500 with Hinchley output transformers (that have three sets of output taps).
The glass perspex is not perfect and has some minor marks but I will polish them out with xeropol acrylic polisher before sale. Comes with all four original black persepex holding tabs.
This is a renowned tube amp that has a very musical sound. The tube phono stage is also superb sounding and well known.
Recently serviced ( a few weeks ago) by David Coe in South London at the cost of £130). He replaced some parts and gave a clean bill of health. The dropper resistors were replaced with some very sturdy 5W Kiwames.
Tube compliment is : Geneleax EC88CC gold pins, Tungsol EC803S Gold Pins, and Watford valve Hama Cryogenically treated 5881 output tubes. These tubes were new just over a year ago and have had very little use. Also comes with a spare set of Edicron 5881 output tubes. About 20 hours use.
