Maybe not in the price range but I'd definately recommend an Exposure X if you could get one... Excellent amplifier.

Plenty pro amps will do the job nicely for less... My pro arts are great and only cost 100 plus post...you get 2 for that.. lol

Oh dear.... £100 for two? Just the transformers would cost at least that... if bought in Europe as just two transformers.... either the bargain of the century or well dodgy!?

both via Bushmaster 2 DAC

Speakers: Rogers Studio 1 on original metal stands

Selling big Yamaha av amp and 1991 vintage Audiolab 8000A (currently £180!!!! on ebay)

Suggestions?

If it doesn't sound great I could still use it as a pre and put the £200 towards a power amp

Nowt dodgy.. They are very good actually. They were originally made to run in juke boxes. If you can put up with the little fan noise then they are tops. Dunno how much they were supposex to be originally. Ive got 4.

I'm a fan of the Arcam FMJ line. They're great value second hand.

Had one of those up until fairly recently. Yes they are nicely built amps

Hooked up the £60 Qinpu A-1.0X amp and am very pleased.

You know the initial buzz you get when you can hear the difference to the last one?....only lasts a day or so.

OK so the last amp was a Yamaha av jobbie, but I swear the Qinpu is even better than my old Audiolab 8000A (currently en route to Korea)
Lovely sound stage with more depth. And a cool tiny little remote that moves the volume knob.
