Nice to join you all. If I am honest I am definitely not a hifi buff and haver historicaly been guided by reviews from other people. The techy side is a bit of a mystery to me.
AllTurntable - new Pro-Ject Elemental.
CD Player - Marantz CD80SE
Speakers- Tannoy Cambridge
Amplifier - Pioneer a400
which I am planning to replace with a Denon PMA250E
and old Nakamichi cassette deck

Tell us what music you like and a bit more about your system plans.

If you're changing amplifiers. The PMA-250SE is a bit of a sideways step from the A400, even though it does have a slightly better phono stage. Better to opt for the PMA-350SE at about the same price on the used market. It is noticeably better, has more grip and can be found with the optional built in phono stage, which is excellent.
