Hi all,
I'm Canadian, from Montreal area. I just turned 50, cabinetmaker by trade. I work in aeronautics building cabinetry for high-end Global 6000 jets. I am crazy about vintage audio gear. I love vinyls and turntables. I listen to music all the time, every day. Mostly jazz (I am the biggest Miles Davis fan) and Cuban music sprinkled with a dose of 70's rock from time to time.
My main system consists of classic Conrad Johnson tube gear: Premier 14 preamp and MV55 amp. My current decks are Thorens TD124 MKI and Thorens TD126 MKIII. Carts are Grace F9 and Denon DL-110.
My phono preamp is a Cambridge Audio 540. My CD transport / Multi-DAC duo: Teac Esoteric P1-D-1.
Just sold my Altec A7 speakers with horns (sounded sweet but way too big) and currently using Vandersteen 2CE Signature Series speakers.
I like reading info about different systems because I am constantly looking to try new components. Am currently looking to buy a Garrard 301 deck so if any of you here has one for sale, let me know!
