My Lenovo wireless mouse has suddenly started playing up. Basically I cant see the arrow anymore during use. Fortunately I have a touch screen pc but prefer to use the mouse. I've checked the battery which is fine.....

Look under the mouse and make sure no dirt or fluff has got in the way of the LED. That can make it play up.

Dunno. I'd probably just do a 'system restore' and see if that brings the mouse back to life (I'm assuming you're using Windows).

Are you using Chrome?
This may help if you are: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-tms/mouse-pointer-disappear-while-browsing-internet-on/6868d573-02b3-4b38-b696-e5db895e1589
Heartd of folk with this on win 8 too.... I will try and go through my history saved links...might take a while
There was one case where using mouse at initial start up and logging in to windows etc caused the mouse to be accepted as the pointing device I think. think it was an asus pc

is it win 10?
Not Win 10, didnt get on with that at all. It made my system basically not want to work after a while. Spent a lot of time on the phone with Microsoft and Lenovo. Microsoft said that I needed to check if my computer is compatible with Win 10. I went into one and asked them how on earth could they be asking me such a thing when they are the one bombarding us with messages and prompts to upgrade . Why if it's not compatible or suitable ?? Anyway I checked with Lenovo and guess what my computer is not compatible. To cut a long story short i did a system restore a good while back to factory settings so effectively Win 8 / 8.1 and it's been A1 since. Still getting the bloody messages to upgrade which I've told all in the house to not even contemplate !! What this mouse issue is all of a sudden i've no idea

Typical Microsoft. I got rid of the icon from MS by deleting the hidden update that they installed and blocked system to further ones til Ive screened them first.

Read the useful links you've supplied guys and went for the basic re-boot option first, luckily the arrow is now visible again, hopefully this problem will not return. I've said it before but although I enjoy the benefits and using computers I hate them too !
Thanks again Geoff and Grant, top blokes as ever
