I am a travelling audiophile, I have to relocate every 4 years, mostly third world countries. For that reason I use single drivers and I put them in to an open baffle where ever I am. I use Davis Acoustics 20de8 drivers, Job 225 and a chord hugo at the moment. I am interested in the valvet E1r monoblocks, Audience 1+1 Speakers, and light weight tube amplifiers.

My system goals in order of importance:
timing
imaging
open soundstaging

Welcome to the forum. Your travelling has created a unique set of requirements.
How do you store your music collection, to make it accessible ?

Open baffles appear to be giving you a good window on your audio appreciation.

I alternate between Gale GS401a and ESL57 , each having many virtues, so I can
fully appreciate speakers as needing different solutions, and I do have some
cases for the ESL57. .

You have some nice kit there. There was a pair of Valvet amps for sale here not so long back. They looked cool.

That's an unusual set of requirements you work to for your sound system. I'd imagine what you are using actually sounds rather good.

I suppose for decent sound and portability the Valvets would take some beating.
