Hi All - all responses gratefully received !
Here's the situation on which I'd like your views please....
I've been offered use of a Cyrus Power X (Power Amp) and I'd like to see whether its going to improve things or not. It's obviously only got one input which would be assigned to either a Pre-Amp or a say, a DAC.
Currently I have a Graham Slee Phono stage (Rega RP3/Ortofon 2M Bronze) and a Audiolab M-DAC which are inputs to my Musical Fidelity XA-2 with speakers being Dynaudio Audience 52's.
The XA-2 has a Pre-Amp output and the idea is that I cable that to the Power X input to enable me to bypass the MF amp and use the Power X in stereo mode. I still need to get speaker cables and Cyrus speaker plugs though !
I've always used integrated amps and so am not sure whether this is a bad idea or not. So, before I start thats the question - is this a bad idea, is the combination likely to be compatible, any gotcha's ?
Ta !!!!
