WTD: speakers to suit Almarro 318B

Doesn't look like my amp is selling and it's not worth me changing if I sell for less as I'm doing it to raise pennies. So , looking for speakers that will work well with 18w of SET up 'em. Around £800 but upto £1000 for something that gets me juices going...

only been on a day or so Steve :) You'll want something fairly efficient... some Tannoy DC's would be nice. I had a set running on a 15w wad and sounded very good.

If one wanted to merely approach their imaging qualities, midrange resolution and tonal truthfulness, one would have to spend at least $5,000 on a pair of stand-mount monitors of very high quality. Those simply would not thrive on a 2-watt triode like the Trishna. Nor would they offer the same high speed, extreme articulation and full-range bass

Made in India and designed by architect Jacob George, the crossoverless Trishna has a rated sensitivity of 96dB, a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and measures 39" H by 6.6" W by 14.4" D.
