Selling my excellent ZYX R100 H2 low output MC cartridge. It probably needs no introduction, but this is the MC that has the Decca speed and clarity, but with some refinement added to the equation. The sound stage with these is incredible, as is the rendition of detail. Unusually for an MC, there is no notable colouration, very rare. it's a fabulous cartridge!

I'm selling as it falls between my ZYX R100 H and R100 Yatra H, both of which are also great MCs. Rather a shame, but it's just not getting the use.

The main difference between the R100 H and the R100 H2 is the aluminium cantilever on the R100 H and the boron cantilever on the R100 H2,

I bought this new. A couple of years ago after the 40 hour break in period, I sent it to Dominic Harper at Northwest Analogue for a clean and it came back with a clean bill of health, as it should of course (we chatted and he told me that he found this cartridge sounded absolutely superb, as it does). Since then I've only used it a couple of times for a month or two, adding about twenty hours use. It is still within the 'break in' period. The R100 H2 is reputed to keep improving with use. It is still virtually as new!!

Even comes with its silk bag (last pic)

These are very rarely offered for sale (try and find one) and are well over £800 new, so I'm asking £475 delivered (UK). No offers thanks.

Yes. I know it doesn't say H2 on the box, but that's how it was supplied new. The tiny Boron cantilever confirms this anyway. I can show a photo of my regular R100 for comparison if required.

Got to be better than an OC9 for similar money...

I loved the R100 I heard a few years ago (can't remember which one, but I vaguely remember the body being transparent?).

Stone cold bargain and one of the best MCs going this side of £1500. Almost tempted myself Geoff except that I'm perfectly happy with the R50 Bloom.

Thanks guys. I still keep wondering if selling this is a sensible decision.

OK. With mixed feelings, I'm offering my ZYX R100 H2 again. Terms as before. PM me if interested. I'll dispatch only within UK. Thanks.

As I seem to be using my Yatra version mainly, I've decided to part with this one. If it doesn't sell here I'll keep it. No eBaying.
