hi peeps

I am ashamed to say I do not use my turntable anymore....all my music is digital now....can't even recall the last time I played a cd even!

current system:

Early Linn Sondek (serial number 17260)
Fidelity Research FR12 arm with AT-F5/OCC moving coil cart
Audiolab 8000A
Rogers Studio 1 speakers

May put them up for sale at some point

Question: I know the tonearm is quite rare, but is it highly regarded?

Would it be best to attempt to sell it separately to the turntable?

Hi Steve. Welcome to AOS.

There's plenty going on here apart from selling stuff. Hope you can join in and enjoy the banter.

Lots of interest in all digital music. Have a look around here and you'll see what I mean.

Tell us what music you listen to and if you want opinions on the FR12 arm, start a thread in the Analogue Arts section and ask questions.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi Steve

Welcome to the forum. Yes, I would sell the TT and arm seperately, both are desirable and they will get snapped up pretty fast at the right price.

On the other hand do you really want to abandon vinyl now that it's cool again....?

Thanks

I know that vinyl is cool.....still have lots of Neil Young, Van, Dylan, Cat, Zep.

Best sound is from Blue Nile's first album.

Too many other interests now.

Will start a thread on the FR.

Since joining I have managed to extract some money from you lovely folk for some vinyl.

But have also been tempted to spend it all again on DACs and 12v Amps

Thanks a bloody bunch!

Having played three albums at the most in the last 5 years I have realized my vinyl days are over

Just can't afford the luxury of new music on a physical medium
