It is the original version purchased new in Dec 14, been using it with AKG550 and HiFiman 400's with no issues..

What I meant was the original MK1 Explorer initially came out with I think very low impedence and then was quickly changed to a higher impedence. Maybe the other way around!?

Just wondered what model yours was. Could you check with Meridian?
