i have for sale a Trichord Dino mkII and Dino+ PSU as new, approx 18 months old. Come complete in original packaging and everything that came with them.

I'd rather sell as a pair but if i sell the Dino first i'll happily split.

looking for £370 for the pair delivered.

Exactly the same case and feet as my Michell HR psu...the Dino+ even has exactly the same switch!
interesting, wonder if there was some backroom negotiation going on?

I think at some point in the past there was a connection between the two companies.

Trichord was founded in the early 90s by Fowler, Cheadle, and Evans, mainly building DACs. At that time Evans already had made his ISO phonostage, which was marketed by J.A.Michell Engineering. Michell, wanting to expand into electronics, contracted the design of their products to Trichord (or Trichord's members), resulting in the ISO HR, Argo, Argo HR, the various Alectos, Delphini, and Orca. Allong the lines Evans and Cheadle stepped out, and John Michell stepped in as a shareholder of Trichord.
These products were quite successful, but still after a while Michell decided to stick to turntables only, and the existing Alecto and Orca designs were from then on marketed as Trichord products. Michell also divested, leaving Trichord a pure Fowler-owned company. Today Michell still contract the design and manufacture of their turntable power supplies to Trichord Research.
