Hi guys,

Hope you are all well. The name is a bit unimaginative I'm afraid! It's my name and what I answer too! I'm a fella by the way (to get that out the way straight away!) I'm from Leicester originally but live in Ireland now (23 years now I think).

I have a NAD C370 amp, Marantz CD6000OSE KiSignature CD player, Yamaha KX393 tape deck ('cassettes' I hear you scream!!) and old Sony ST242L tuner all hooked up to a pair of Wilmslow Audio Gemini speakers which I constructed myself (enclosure).

Nice to be part of the forum and I look forward to chatting to you all :)

Regards,

Lindsey

Hi Lindsey
Welcome to AOS forum, looks like a well chosen system you have for
the music you enjoy. Cassettes are quite valid, there was
good attempt by manufacturers to address speed stability and
noise reduction - and if they play the music you enjoy- that is what matters.

I see you like a bit of DIY, so check out the DIY section
and technical help area.

Cheers / Chris

Thanks for the welcome Struth and LDR.

In truth the cassettes played are due to the fact I haven't replaced them with CD's. But when you have hundreds of albums and don't listen to them all regularly, I forget what needs updating to CD. Or maybe it's a memory issue! I am 50 yrs old now!!! I feel about 25 to be honest but me brain seems to think it's 70 when it comes to memory!

regards,

Lindsey

My memory aint so good either.........hello , are you new? ;)

Still have 2 cassette players and a number of tapes, but rarely play them which is a shame as they are rather good

Hello Lindsay. Welcome to AOS.

Tell us what music you listen to and about any plans you may have for your system.

At 50 years of age you are a mere strippling compared to some here (me? :))

I'm sure you'll find plenty to interest you here.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.
